Beautiful Kitchen Runners Under $100!

Although I'm someone who loves shopping and especially home decor shopping, it can still be a struggle to make design decisions or to find certain things to fit in a specific spot perfectly. I sometimes feel that way about rugs because you want them to add character, warmth, and texture to a space, all while complimenting the other colors and items in the room, so it can be a tricky process!

It took me a while to find a runner for our kitchen, I even bought one and had it for some time, but didn't totally love it there. This weekend I snagged this beautiful runner at HomeGoods for a steal and think it's the perfect fit! I absolutely love rugs and how well they really bring a room together, so I thought I would share some a few tips on finding the perfect kitchen runner for your home and as well as a few of my favorites!

COLOR

If your kitchen is light-colored/neutral like mine, a colorful runner can add some fun and flair to it! Also, if you have little kiddos or animals, this will help to hide any stains, spills, crumbs, and pet hair a little better!

If your kitchen is more colorful, whether it be the walls or the cabinets, going with a neutral runner is always a good idea to balance it out!

SIZE

Make sure to measure the area first to verify that the rug is the right size and fit for your kitchen! Sometimes it even helps to measure out the dimensions of the rug and put tape down so you're able to see how it will fit! My kitchen is kind of a weird layout, so I wanted to make sure it wasn't too wide or too long!

FUNCTION

I like to use rug tape under any smaller rugs, it's really a lifesaver! It totally stops them from moving/sliding around.
