OUR FAVORITE BOOKS
Afraid of All The Things by Scarlet Hiltibidal
I've never read a book that has made me laugh out loud like this one has before, but honestly, it's so comforting and empowering, while funny at the same time and I can't think of a better combo!
If you're a worrier or a worst case scenario thinker like me, this book is literally amazing. It teaches you how to overcome your fears the best way how, with the gospel and your faith in Jesus Christ.
Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
I'm sure you've seen this book everywhere and that's for good reason! Rachel's words are so motivating and life-giving. If you're looking for some encouragement, read this! She also just released a brand new book that I can't wait to read, Girl, Stop Apologizing.
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
If you're looking for a really good historical fiction book that will really keep you wanting more, this is the one for you! It's a heart wrenching drama about two french sisters in France during World War II. This book literally has over 30,000 five star Amazon reviews! I'll just let that speak for itself.
The Magnolia Story by Chip & Joanna Gaines
Just when you think you can't love these two any more, they write the sweetest book that is full of so much love, faith, and inspiration. Here's one of my favorite quotes from Joanna: “Go and find what it is that inspires you, go and find what it is that you love, and go do that until it hurts. Don’t quit, and don’t give up. The reward is just around the corner. And in times of doubt or times of joy, listen for that still, small voice. Know that God has been there from the beginning- and he will he there until The End.”
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
This book is perfect for creatives, the people that want to express themselves through some sort of medium. Elizabeth is a writer, so that's what she bases most of the examples on, but anyone can take something away from her words. It gives you a much different perspective to your work!
My Foot is Too Big For The Glass Slipper by Gabrielle Reese
This is a funny and lighthearted biography about a woman named Gabrielle Reese who lives in Hawaii with her husband who is a professional surfer and their children. She writes about how her life may look perfect from afar but it truly isn't, just like everyone else's. She describes writing this book as her guide to a less than perfect life.
Seamless: Understanding the Bible as One Complete Story by Angie Smith
We've done a handful of Bible studies together and this one has been our favorite so far! It's such a great way to help understand more about the people, places, and stories of the Bible and how they all fit together.
