New House Build: Office Design Reveal
We’ve officially been in our house for three months now, and the office (also our work out and storage room) has been a complete mess since then. It was the room that everything random without a home went as we were getting settled in, butttt since we still don’t have all of the shelving and such finished in a lot of the closets here, the storage has been pretty random—which left this space feeling like a jumble! We’ve basically just kept the door shut this whole time so we didn’t have to look at it or think about it haha. Until this weekend!!
Since it was nothing but rain in the forecast for the weekend, we decided it was time to finally paint this room so we could start getting it put together. We originally painted it the same colors as the rest of the house, but quickly realized it needed something darker/moodier to fit the vision I had for the space. Plus then hopefully our treadmill wouldn’t quite stick out as much of a sore thumb! Haha. We had almost a whole gallon of Farrow & Ball Pigeon leftover from another project, we just went for it! And I love it!!! The color is perfect, not too dark and not too green. You can scroll down to see the before and a peek of the after!
And here’s a peek at how the space looks today with some fresh paint!! This week we’ll hopefully get the curtains hung and get the finishing touches for the space. I just ordered the desk and a shelving unit to keep this space feeling as functional (and cute!) as possible!
