New House Build: Living Room Design Reveal

I have yet to reveal the living room design until today because, honestly, something just didn’t feel right and I didn’t want to share it until I was happy with it! We originally had this rug in here, and while I still love it so much, it felt like it was washing out the whole room because it’s basically matching the exact colors of our house! That’s when I knew we needed a rug some contrast to really ground the space. So when Amazon Prime Day rolled around last week, I had to grab this gorgeous one—and it’s truly the perfect fit!

My goal for our house was to make it feel cohesive, cozy, and inviting, while still feeling put together and styled! I want to create an accent/something special for each space to really make it standout, but still tie in with the design of the rest of our home! So eventually we will be adding in an electric fireplace at the center of the room, and faux wood beams on the ceiling! See my inspo below—both from Jenna Sue Design because she is the queen of DIY!
