A Dining Room Refresh! (with Before + After photos)
I’m trying to pretend like spring is right around the corner for us Yooper’s, so I thought it was time for a little dining room refresh! We’ve had the same prints and frames in this spot since we first moved in (almost three years ago!!!) and I love them, but just felt like it needed a little lightening and brightening up! So when I came across these amazing acrylic frames from Art to Frames, I fell in love with the simple, classic, and beautiful look, and the way they totally freshened up our little dining nook, with the prettiest prints from Hears in Colors.
LET’S TAKE A LOOK BACK. . .
now
what we’ve done so far:
Jason replaced the old paneling along this wall and installed dry wall as one of the first projects in our home, then painted the walls Sherwin Williams Alabaster and the trim Sherwin Williams Pure White.
Ripped out the old floor and put down luxury vinyl tile in the kitchen and dining (seriously still LOVE our LVT—looks just like tile, but is softer, warmer, and plates or cups don’t break when you drop them)
Updated the light fixture—I would actually like to replace this one at some point, but Jason likes it, so we’ll keep it…for now ;)
New dining chairs and painted our original ones from IKEA black
Jason installed new windows last summer which has truly made such a huge impact!! Can’t wait to do the rest in our house!
Bryana gifted this jute rug to me for my birthday that has added so much coziness and texture!
I hung a few baskets on the wall last year and still love them!
I placed this big ‘ol vase with some springy stems (similar) in it for a simple, yet timeless centerpiece!
And last but not least, our newest beautiful floating frames (size is 11 x 14 with gold stands)!
